There is a structure/ an arc to the performance that allows / invites both the audience members and performers to “warm-up” to what is happening; this is directed by the Conductor.

for Therapists and others who work directly with the Students that R receiving services:
Participating as an audience member in a Playback Theater performance can have an array of benefits for your charges —
among those are shifting perspectives toward a more accepting/ trusting outlook over time & repeated participations
~telling their stories (short pieces from their lives) and having it enacted can be quite supportive & reassuring.
~Themed performances about subjects that R “up”/ present for them can be helpful
~ Since each one will be sharing & witnessing the Playback of others’ sharings,

for Students of Playback Theater:
~Much of learning PT will include theater games & exploring activities with another, or a small group. It will seem like play, & you are invited to enter that state of mind.
~ With training, would you be interested in performing with a group? possibly weekly?
~ Would you consider agreeing to sign a 6-month contract in which you would receive full-training for Playback Theater as an Actor/ Musician/ Conductor? [one or more of ]
And later, as rehearsals continue weekly,begin performing as part of Youth Serving Youth; PT for local youth who are receiving services. All guided by Director & Assistant.
